Yes, I have more than three dozen now, and they can drown out the other birds in the room. Let one of them call, and they all join in!

We started opening the windows in the cool of the morning, they hear either a mockingbird or blue jay and they all sound off, louder than the zebras. My husband is shocked how loud they get since most of the time it is little calls back and forth.

Well tomorrow's the day! I still haven't decided if I want two females, two males, or one of each. I just know I want some. So, I may just go, and if I see some, pick out two I like...
I am excited!!

I'm excited for you Nelissa! We will all expect pictures of your new Owls when you have the time and they've settled in! Oh, and can you post the prices people were selling for? The bird fair I went to recently sold owls for 65.00 each. I was just curious about your area.

$65 each?! Wowsers! At the fair in June, there was only one guy I saw who had them and he was selling a pair for $180. That's about what I am expecting to pay if I find them tomorrow. But obviously, less would be better!

My bad.... I thought 65.00 was pretty expensive  ! Now I'm feeling like a dummy 8-[ I was on a quest to find Star finches, didn't find any, so I was bummed and didn't think about the Owls. I did talk to him and he said they were 65.00 each because they weren't sexed so it would be 'take your guess' kind of a thing. He had a lot of owls. Probably 10-15 of the little cuties. Good luck finding a nice pair of Owls tomorrow!

Well, I didn't get any owls. No one at the fair had any. :(
But I did pick up a big bag of seed (should last me awhile), a smaller bag of seed that I will use for sprouting, a travel cage, and some powdered oyster shell!
And I got to meet Martie and Dennis1145! It was great to finally meet some forum members face-to-face!

Only if you lived closer! I want to get some societies, if I do I want to order some eggs from you! But I'd want a few eggs from multiple birds, that way I have a surprise zebra clutch. :D I'm pretty sure the societies will sit. Does the shipping turn out successful?

It can be if done quickly over night or two day shipping...you have a window of time from when they are laid for them to remain viable...7 days.
