Dilute Gould

Post by JohnBoy » Sun Nov 06, 2011 5:15 pm

Does this gould look extremely light for a dilute? All my other dilutes were never this pale in color. Or maybe I am not remembering well.

Most of my dilutes were this color or lighter as juveniles :)
Dilute on the left - looks about like what your little guy looks:

I think she was referring to her photo. The gouldian on the left of her photo is a dilute and looks similar to your dilute which is on the right (in your photo). Beautiful birds -- both of you! :)

You're correct. A senior moment I guess. My brain has not been processing information correctly lately.

It's okay, even the young and restless have circuit loss.  But in regards to your original question -- I have seen dilutes as light as your beautiful male. I think the shades of dilute vary in accordance to individual birds and genetics. I've seen dilutes that almost look yellow and I've also seen dilutes that look practically greenback. It just varies. Please keep us updated on your beauties as they color out. =D> :D
