Hidden Pied Zebra

Post by DanteD716 » Wed Nov 09, 2011 6:40 pm

Alright, so I was doing a full-body check on my bird, because he got out the cage, (he is okay) and I notice on his back a few very faint, but they are there, white blotches, and he has one solid white feather above his tail hidden by his feathers. His breast bar is blotchy, and I have boughten a pied hen from the same guy last year around this time, is their anyway they are related and he is pied? (she was slightly pied, with the tips of her wings and back being white blotches.) thanks!

Might be split to pied or could be and indication that the bird may be split to BB...look at the tail feathers is there a hourglass shaped pattern in white.

can you post a picture..easier to ID what the mutation is.

two of my fawn male's offspring have the shape pattern like this:

the one in the center is a split to BB...the one on the right is BB

he's still in the box, I wonder what they're doing in there. He should be out soon, lights go out at 7 so hopefully he is out by then.
