If you are going to need to medicate the birds do not give charcoal until you are completely done, charcoal will interfer with the absorbtion of the medication into the system.

If you want to give a drop of acv in their water source and charcoal(in a separate treat cup) wait until all meds are done. Anytime you medicate you must remove the charcoal, if you do not then the birds may not get the full benefit of the medications.

Also when giving charcoal, their droppings become blacken. Perhaps wait until after the meds for a week or two to make sure their droppings have returned to normal, Snowflake's dirty bottom clears up.

I called Lady Gouldian Finch.com, WE FINALLY FOUND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG! I am sooooooo!!! Relieved.

In Essence It was the boys fault, ><' my Society finch Males.
Apparently, Loraine, was saying that Society Finches Happen to carry a parasite and Snow flake got this parasite, and of course, this doesn't really affect them in the end @-@'.
And there is no way to get rid of this parasite in Society finches, So all you breeders, Reconsider Society Finch fosters, for other birds other then baby Societies.

Because she was fostered by the societies that I purchased from petsmart, WHICH we were never told. Ugh, Pet stores........

so, In the End Everyone will get the treatment for Ronex, worm ETC, But until this is completely cleared up I will be holding out.

So if in the Future I have delinquent parents, I will be the fosterer, not my Societies, No matter how good of parents they are

Snowflake is a Zebra finch.
And I know the Societies Madly LOVE the bathe. ANd I love Societies, I just had no Idea how Deadly these cute little birds were O_O'

I just don't know how to get her to bathe, we'll call Loraine again about it, later, and I'll post.

Thanks Diamond Sparrow, This Was helpful towards this issue, Wish I had have know about it sooner, It explains why Haru the Society with Seedy droppings got over the illness so quickly, the Parasite took hold and I took a sledge hammer to is with Tetratex =-= I am seriously going to call back Gouldianfinch.com back, if there is anyway of eliminating this parasite.

The ronex12% will stunt it's growth so it can't mature. Your bird should get better with the medication, hope she does quickly. Tetratex did not do anything in regards to the parasite itself it most likely cleared up a secondary infection associated with the parasites. If it gets into lungs and organs the body tries to fight it sometimes the irritations in the organs can cause infections. The antibiotic helped with that.

Where it says Ronidasole on the chart from Diamond Sparrow it is the ingredient found in Ronivet and Ronex. The containers spell it with a z not an s.

oh just to be safe then sorry I will use the Ronex on all of them.

By the way, the hand rearing, I am more of a taming rather then breeding person, so it goes without saying for me XD.
