Egg shells
I'm still learning. Do you refridgerate cooked eggshells, or are they okay at room temp? How long can you keep them in the cage for? Do they spoil? I am currently using commercial soft food and commercial eggfood, how long are they okay in the cage for? How long do you keep fresh eggfood in the cage?

Re: Egg shells
I dont think that egg shells by themselves ever spoil but when you mix it in with soft food and egg food you dont want to leave it in the cage for longer then a couple hours or it will go bad.
Usually with pairs that have babies you give them fresh egg food and soft food twice a day. Leave it in for a couple hours and throw out whatever they dont eat.

Re: Egg shells
I don't refrigerate egg shells, they are kept in a bag till needed. I have a dish of crushed shells and just add more when needed. I also have large pieces of shells, like half shells from peeling a hard boiled egg that I leave in the cage. The birds like to play with and break off pieces during the day, gives them something to do.Do you refridgerate cooked eggshells, or are they okay at room temp?

I don't use commercial egg food so can't help you there. I feed hard boiled eggs with a bit of handfeeding formula added to dry it out a bit. I serve that on a dish spread thinly so it dries out rather then goes bad. I feed new in the morning and take out any dish from the previous morning.
