Co existing?
Can I put Green singers in with Zebras? I have 4 Zebras and really want to get some Green singers. I know Zebras can be pushy but Im not familiar with Singers. Thanks!

Re: Co existing?
I do not know if anybody else on the forum has this combination, but green singers are known to be pushy also, and I do not think the should be housed together. http://www.finchinfo.com/ check out the combatibility, if they are just pets you should try to get a few more zebras of different colors. I love when they're all together.

Thanks Dante. I do plan on getting more Zebras. I just love how Green Singers sound. I didnt think I could house them together but wanted to ask to make sure. Thanks for your help!

The chart says they are compatible. However, it does say to watch them for any signs of aggression.

Re: Co existing?
Personally owning both, my Green singers are flighty, very nervous and need room. Owning over 15 pairs plus zebras I would not house them together.
Green singers are somewhat private and mine stay to the top, claim their favorite nest and typically zebras kind of do what they please and my interfer with the Green singers.
My opinion owning both, keep the species separate. Some mixed aviaries just do not work well, some do. Zebras in my opinion are to strong of a personality for the Green singers. If you had a huge flight, lots of room possibly but in a small setting, I would say no. How big is the flight?

Re: Co existing?
Thank you. I dont think my flight is big enough Cindy. The Zebras I do have are quite pushy with each other so I do not want to add another species for them to pick on.
There is a cage Ive had my eye on for awhile that I plan on getting to put some Singers in. I just have to figure out where Im gonna put it in the house.
