Today I start round 2 of s76 for my 2nd week of treatment. I also just got my amoxitex from Larainne yesterday. My question is is can I mix it together (amoxitex & s76 in same water dish) ? I am doing the water treatment. I also plan on misting the birds with the s76 today as well. Do I need to watch their eyes ?
Thank you in advance
Cath

Re: ? about s76 and amoxitex
I would not, S76 is not from what I can tell is a Morning Bird Product.
The interation chart shows you can not mix Iverlux in with Amoxitex so I assume it is not safe to do the same with the S76.
I would place a call even before misting toLaraine and ask to be certain. Ask he which you should do first, if the bird is has something bacterial going on and you have already dosed him once with S76 I would think the sooner your start the amoxitex the better and that would tae priority.
For future reference here is the interaction chart for Morning Bird Products.
It is within this page and once you open it you can save it to a file.

Re: ? about s76 and amoxitex
Awesome reading and thank you. I think I will just keep her on amoxitex for the five days as she is still clicking and sneezing and sounds raspy. With the s76 I was supposed to do 2 day treatment for 3 weeks so I am not sure what route to take.....
She has only had one treatment of the s76 so far and that was last week. However like i said she is still making lots of noise and sits puffed up alot but yet she is still eating and drinking like normal.

if she is huffing and puffing the antibiotic would be the first choice...clearing the infection is the priority.
Did you call Laraine back to find out what you should do first? If she is huffing and puffing it sound more respiratory than ASM...what was her opinion?
