I had them years ago...when they were fairly common kept birds. They bred fairly well... though I did feed wingless fruit flies, mealworms, as well as eggfood. As long as you have reasonably young stock you should have no problems
I think the reason so many people have trouble getting them to breed is that they have older birds

More and more people are breeding them so I am sure there will be young birds to swap and get a good bunch going. With the imports coming in through Canada no worries on too closely bred birds either. Great news in the Strawberry World...... Now if someone can get started with the pekin Robins
