What Is This?!!??! Help!
We noticed this on an all white zebra. We're not sure if it is a male or female. It has a orangish/red beak. Too dark and bright for a hen but not dark enough for a male. It came with a split blue band so maybe a male. Anyways, he acts normal and would have gone unnoticed but he escaped his cage and when we caught him this is what we saw

Dante, how old is the bird...is this a lump or protrusion? Is it hard or soft?

A big lump, not out of the cloaca. It is not old, maybe 9-16 months. Looks young and healthy. It is soft?

I saw this on the efinch Facebook page a while ago. it looks similar. it was diagnosed as a fatty deposit.

I'm not sure if it's the same but I hope it will help.

Interesting, but not what needed. Thanks though! It is just one lump, about a marble shape and size. We thought maybe an egg but it soft. It has some yellow and dark purple coloring.

Does look a bit dark. I would say examine another one of your male birds for comparison. Their feather usually hides everything down there.

Still not the best. Sorry it took so long, I had to catch him in the flight, and it lights are out so it was pitch black!
I only had my phone light so I caught about 7 wrong birds. And, I don't think it's an infection. He seems to be normal. What does a cyst look like?

Sorry, his feather were puffed and I couldn't get good photos. I might be able to wet him a little tommorow morning (dip him in the bird bath) to hold his feathers flat?

Re: What Is This?!!??! Help!
it looks like a cyst to me, i have not seen it on birds but i volunteer at a local shelter, and i see a lot of different things come in. It could also be a tumor.. can you move it around? or is it just STUCK to the body not able to move it at all(by move i mean maybe a centimeter to the right or left. not like all around)
take him to the local avian vet. it could be a cyst, and if so can be drained. but if it is a tumor, surgery on such a small bird is so hard..
beautiful bird you got there though!

Re: What Is This?!!??! Help!
Dante, if it is a feather cyst I have info on it. The recommendations is to not use the bird for breeding. I can pm the info to you.

It can be moved from the outside, because it is like pudgy. Cindy, that'd be awesome! Also, he does sleep in the same nest with an all white hen so they may be a pair? There are too many birds in the flight, so I don't know if he's breeding for sure.
