awww that is so cute!!!, i would have melted into much if i seen that. poor bird must have been so lonely. what a cute little story.managermania wrote:She was so lonely being by herself. After she fledged, she tried to find a place to sleep. She ended up joining another nest of four normal owls babies that are about the same age as her. I peaked in the nest because I could not find her and she is nestled right in the middle of them.

Re: Fawn baby owl possibly?
The parents look normal. The dad is a split and the mom is normal.
I will be keeping her. In time, I will pair her with an unrelated split male that I have.
Per Sally's genetics post, that would then give me:
Male normal split + Female mutation gives you
mutation males 50%
normal split males 50%
mutation females 50%
normal females 50%

Re: Fawn baby owl possibly?
dont you mean 25% chance......or do you mean half of males and females will be mutation and half will be normalmanagermania wrote:The parents look normal. The dad is a split and the mom is normal.

Either way 25% or half the males and or half the females.
