Glad you were able to get this pair, they look lovely. When they come into breeding condition, the top beak of the hen will gradually get darker till it is quite black. When you see it darkening, if they are well bonded, you can begin giving them some coco fiber and feathers for nesting material. I use a wicker canary nest set in a plastic plant as a base for them to build, though one pair is building a free-style nest right next to the canary nest in the plant.
Did you have to spend the night at SFO airport?

Re: New Gren pair Home
bad weather in SFO. UA canceled 50% of flights. I planned 1 day round trip - in and out- I end up stayed at the hotel in Medford OR. I got the birds at 11PM - left Medford at 4AM.cindy wrote:Very nice!!!!And very worth it!!!

Re: New Gren pair Home
Linda waited for me at the airport in Medford. I stayed at Hotel for 4 hrs to catch first flight out at 4AM. Linda's Friend also has 2 male strawberries and she wants to get 1 hen and trade 1 Male. Too bad that my babies strawberries die. Is this something are you willing to do with Ann in Medford?Sally wrote:Glad you were able to get this pair, they look lovely.
