RIP Rainer

Post by ranchnanny » Fri Feb 03, 2012 1:09 pm

What an awfull way to start a day... :( Got up to let the dogs out and check the birds and found my favorite Society male dead on the cage floor. Oh! No what happened????
There was no sign of him being sick at all he and his mate Grace have been flying, eating doing what birds love to do.

This is hard to take #-o I'm guessing he goy spooked during the night and hit the sides of the cage. There is no way to protect these little ones short of padding the cages!!

He was a great dad, singer & mate and Grace and I will miss him.

RIP Rainer

Sherry, I am so sorry. It is always the hardest thing to face when it comes to our hobby and pets. :(

Thank you all for the kind words. I worry about his mate being lonely so I will more then likely find another mate for her. I am hoping that one of the two fledglings is a male so I can hear that singing again.

Thanks
Sherry
