I work at petco as a dog groomer and we are constantly getting in new and better foods for all animals. I get a discount so I buy alot. Anyhows we just got this new bird food and supposedly its good for all birds. This food you cook on the stove. Has anyone here heard of it or tried it ? I am gonna try it today on my gang and see if they like it.The flavor I got was African Sunset. Here is whats in it
Quinoa, Hulled Millet, Cracked Wheat, Pasta, Flaxseed, Chopped Almond, Cashew Peices, Dehydrated Cranberries,Papya Granules, Sweet Potatoe Dices, Cinnamon Powder, Dried Kelp, Tomato, Spinnach, Annatto.

I know it shows big birds but after you cook it it seems the finches and canaries would still be able to pick at it. What do you guys think ?

Looks pretty good but there's a lot in there I don't think the finches would eat so it might be kind of wasteful :/

Yeah it definitely looks like it would be great for small hookbills but the nuts and dried fruits I can say for certain the Gouldians won't touch.
I tried making Quinoa for my birds once before too and they do not eat it.
The canaries would probably eat the wheat, millet and flaxseed, and maybe the quinoa.
The Gouldians I would think might only eat the millet and at best just pick at the other stuff like the spinach and kelp.
I guess it all depends on how large the other pieces are?

Finch/Canary tested and mother approved. They went NUTS over it ! My little WB hen that is finally feeling better can stop eating it and my BCCB is crazy over it also. WOW I am shocked that it was such a hit......

So great to hear about! I really like that there is nothing in those bags but food - no preservatives, etc. I will definitely try this here.
