I would say first of all if you havent already put a heat lamp on the cage do so right away. I know many meds not safe for birds under certain ages...hopeully someone more experienced will help you with some more advice.Otherwise perhaps call ladygouldianfinch.com tomorrow they are very helpful. I hope it all turns out o.k.!

When my Gouldian fledglings go to the juvenile cage I treat them with Ronex.....They pick up all sorts of bacteria on the floor of the cage tasting everything

My recommendation as well....since they are still feeding the young I soul treat the societies and the rest of the chicks as well. JMO.

Rancel,

A note here. If the Ronex does not do the trick right away you might want to treat for coccidiosis. Fledging is a very stressful time for young birds and they can easily succumb to cocci since their immune systems are not yet fully developed.

Keep a close eye on it -- you should see it perking up right away if it was worms. :)

Rancel, double the powder for three days then do single dose for the remainder of the treatment.
