See if you can find one in the scratch and dent section, some have minor flaws cosmetically that do not effect the workings. Or...ebayclassifieds!!

You can always buy an inexpensive dishwasher and build a case around it and use the top for counter space.

Yeah Cindy, I was just thinking of the same thing. Now all I have to do is put in a hot water heater (under sink) or maybe under the washer

I've been following this thread and have to say there's a lot of great info here, and a lot to digest. I need to go over everything again to make sure I'm getting it all. But in the meantime I thought I'd share this article about tap water that I came across last night: http://health.msn.com/healthy-living/is ... water-safe

Just buy a small counter top dishwasher. They work good.

Linda,
Didn't think about boiling water concentrating things like nitrate, arsenic and lead making them potentially harmful.
Nice article with food for thought, thanks for sharing

I second that!! Great article, makes me think twice about adding anything more to their water. Also there are studeies done on bottle water that states some are no safer than tap water.debbie276 wrote:Linda,

After reading the article combined with reports on tv I think considering what may or may not be in our water, not sure I would be adding anything but ACV on occasion.

Re: Listerine and/or Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)?
"20/20" took five bottles of national brands of bottled water and a sample of tap water from a drinking fountain in the middle of New York City and sent them to microbiologist Aaron Margolin of the University of New Hampshire to test for bacteria that can make you sick, like e. coli. There was actually no difference between the New York City tap water and the bottled waters that they evaluated. Many scientists have run tests like that and have consistently found that tap water is as good for you as bottled waters. Also there are studeies done on bottle water that states some are no safer than tap water.
If you look at the fine print on the bottle you'll find out Everest Water is not from Mount Everest. It's from Corpus Christi, Texas. Glacier Clear Water is not from a glacier in Alaska. Its source is tap water from Greeneville, Tenn. Dasani and Aquafina are also just reprocessed tap water from cities around the country. One of Aquafina's sources is the Detroit River!
Sure does make you think about it.

Poland Spring is in Maine, but not all of the water used by the Poland Spring Water brand is from there.

I don't think I've seen mention of "spring" water. Is that not better than regular (or even filtered) water? Or is that another one of those misleading products?
