Breeding Owls

I need some advice on how to help my owls with this breeding process....
I have a pair in an open aviary. They are very bonded, always preening each other and sleeping together in a nest.

Every morning he does his little dance around the floor and I have seen them mate. The hen did lay some eggs, but did not sit enough on them so they didn't hatch.

I have considered moving them into a breeding cage into a quieter place.
Everytime I walk into the aviary they would fly off the eggs. What do you think?

The only problem is that I HATE to put them into a cage after they have experience freedom.

Should I give them another chance. I would LOVE for them to raise some babies.

I have only had my Owls in a cage, since I don't have an aviary. They are still very flighty. Their cage is the top one of a tier of three, lots of plastic plants for privacy, and they still come off the nest very easily. I only have 2 babies out of them, 1 fostered from eggs they spilled on the floor, and 1 parent-raised (I actually had 2 parent-raised, but when I separated the babies from the parents, 1 died within one day). So they haven't been the easiest.

So I guess that is why they are also so expensive. Difficult to raise!
Well my pair are so close that I think they will breed, it is just a matter of giving them enough privacy. I may give them a little longer and then put them into a cage.

I hope you have success. I hope I have success when I try to breed mine! I have learned a lot here about giving them privacy and being they have raised one clutch already I am hoping they can raise another batch if I can give them the right conditions.
