Sources for LARGE indoor flight cage?

I need to expand my finch housing and the only way to go is BIG. I have room for a three foot wide by six foot long and up to nine feet tall.

I'm looking online and have found the www.wingzcatalog.com site and some other sites.

Costs are prohibitive. The Wingz people can do what I need/want but the shipping is almost four hundred dollars (freight carrier from California - not their fault). Building one would be great but I can't do it and am having trouble finding a carpenter that would.

Do any of you have any sources for either an aviary like the size above or one that would fit into a corner? I found a gorgeous one that would be a corner piece but it is almost two thousand dollars. :shock:

There are others that are over four thousand with lights and air circulation. weeeee! :shock:

Do you have any bird shows where you live? I have always been able to find some nice ones there.

They have very nice cages and spendy! You can't find a carpenter to custom build an aviary for you? I'm not sure where you live, but maybe a wanted ad for a carpenter on craigslist? If we were neighbors I would be happy to help out. I've purchased welded wire and it's very easy to work with. Good luck.

oops, just realized you're in NY. Yeah, a little far for us to be neighbors!

We have had a couple of customers take our YML 30"x18"x55" flight cages and join them side by side in a row of three or four. The sides to these cages are a seperate panel so all you do is not put the side on and then zip tie the cages together. By joing the cages you could make up a 60", 90", or 120" cage. They then placed the cages on a folding table. It may not be what your looking for, but it may help you in coming up with some other ideas.

Thanks very much for the ideas! I've also just found QueenCityPets.com that has some alternatives as well.

I'm trying to get all the different aviaries and bigger cages printed out so I can compare them. If I got rid of the couch in my living room I could have more cages 8)
