Three days ago I found a great avian pharmacy that was two hours away from where I live. So I went there and bought calcium powder and breeding vitamins that are made by a Belgian company named Orlux. This site shows some of their products:

I started using both products in two breeding cages, after 24 hours I noticed two birds (one from each cage) was fluffed and sitting on a perch with hardly any movement and both had white liquid droppings.
I immediately put them in a hospital cage and added Amoxitex to the water. This morning one of them perked up and looks quite normal with normal looking drops so I was wondering if I must leave her for 5 days or it's ok to take her out after 3 days?
Also I'd like to have some feedback on the products I used if possible? It's claimed to be of high quality and recommended on some sites but I have no idea why some of my birds reacted badly to it - could it be this reaction was due it's sudden introduction to their diet?
Amoxitex for 3 days?

I can't really help you on this. I have only used one Orlux product, that is their insect patee, but the company has a good reputation. You wouldn't think that calcium and a breeding vitamin would have such an adverse effect. I mean, those are pretty basic.
I also don't have experience with Amoxitex--I have been so fortunate to not have to deal with long illnesses. Not that I haven't lost birds, but mine seem to go before I can even do much for them. Hopefully, someone with more experience in this area will chime in.

Left Amoxitex for 5 days and then 3 days on probiotics and all is well now.
I didn't go back to using the calcium or vitamin mix but I may try to use it on one bird separately first and see if it's the cause of the problem or not. Maybe the sudden introduction was the problem or maybe they're expired products even though it doesn't say on the packaging when is the expiry date if there is any.
Anyway thanks Sally!
