I personally like the contrast of the Red Face with the yellow. Yellow Face might not be as showy. This mutation is new here in the U.S. as well. A friend who is working with Stars bought a male like this--he is gorgeous! Congrats on this achievement!

i originally bought 2 young pair - since then they have coloured up and produced 6 young between them. yellow belly stars are produced by combining the fawn and cinnamon mutation.
here's a better shot of the cock bird front on
now for something different a few months ago i breed this little pied hen ruddy/or fire finch. this particular bird has far more white than any of my other pied ruddies
