Early morning activity

Just curious on the usual behaviour of your birds first thing in the morning.

This new little orange cheek that I have is crazy this morning. He is flying back and forth, back and forth like crazy this morning. Even stopping for a quick swing which he hasn't done up until now.

Are your birds more active first thing in the morning when the sun comes up? I am usually up just as day light starts, so sometimes the birds aren't even awake, so I see them wake up. So far, they have not been very active.

But this morning, it looks like they took some energy pills. Very active, and chatty this morning.

The morning is my favorite time to watch my birds. I can't do it during the week, but on the weekends I take my coffee and sit and enjoy. This is the time they are most active and welcoming in the morning.
My parrot finches are the first ones up and behind them are the owls. They all fly around like crazy and sing. Then the eating frenzie begins.

I think you will see that mornings they are the most fun to watch and late evening mine always take a community bath together while waiting for their worms.

I love the morning time with my birds too! They are just so active and crazy. They zip around as if they are playing tag with each other.

Mine are extremely busy as soon as they see day light, which they are by huge windows so they wake up before me. I don't have a clue why they are so active in the morning but sure think they have lots to do...kind of reminds me of a freeway commute at rush hour. lol

mine do slow down in the middle of the day and look to be almost napping with their eyes open. then it's right back to hectic avairy life. They do have a pecking order and best I can tell my male society is king of the kingdom with his mate second in line. After that my male owl who is trying to take over the world comes into line up. everyone gets along pretty good until owl gets going...he's got his own adjenda.

Glad to hear this is normal behaviour. It must mean that they are getting more comfortable in their new environments.

Up until now, they have not been this active. I am glad to know that I have made them happy. Because they have brought me so much joy in the short time that I have had them.

Mine are usually pretty fluttery in the morning. If my male Gouldian is in the mood, he does little morning concerts for everyone. Sometimes if I get up early though, they'll still be asleep, even if the sun is up (they enjoy their sleeping in) and will give me dirty looks as I change out their water and food.

This is more like mine are, they sure love their sleep, especially the male. They don't officially start moving around until well after sun rise, though once they are up they too are very busy. It is their favourite time of day to get a bowl of water, they will fly around, and go do a mini bath, and fly, and bath......

My finches are very active in the morning to. Usually they make me up with all the singing, lol. I dont mind though. ine sit by the sliding glass doors so they are usually up as soon as they see light outside.

My Javas are little buggers all day long, they never stop, but they are VERY active from 7am every morning, they do their stretching excercises and then go crazy.

Our birds tend to be very busy and happy in the morning. They love having egg food first thing. It's kinda like the morning just isn't right with out egg food to wake up with.

lol I've never seen my birds that early in the morning, at the time I leave for work each day they are still sleeping. by the time I see them on my days off they have already eaten and are resting contentedly in a sunny spot
