Thank you, Kenny - Here is a link to the pink powder in the U.S. http://www.foyspigeonsupplies.com/catal ... -5042.html I wasn't coming up with it by searching pink powder or PVM, but it is called Vitamineral here in the U.S. as well as in Canada. I don't see Biocal listed, so maybe this, too, has a different name here.

I will ring the APC here and ask if they know the equivalent Biocal product in the US

There are so many different ideas, that a new person reading this thread will probably get confused. Here is what I do:

standard food (LaFeber finch food for gouldians, zupreem natural for societies and zebras)

Non breeding:
- 2 or 3x a week they get egg+veggies+sprinkling of seeds+crushed egg shell
- gouldians have a dish of charcoal + egg shells and another dish of kelp powder

Molting:
- egg+veggies+crushed egg shell increase to 1x every day with a sprinkling of Feather Fast.

Breeding:
- egg+veggies+crushed egg shell 2 to 3x a day, increasing as I determine they need it to feed the chicks.
- Until they start laying eggs, I will sprinkle "breeders blend" onto the fresh egg mix.
- mix of commercial dry egg food+Miracle Meal. This is a dry alternative to the fresh egg. I try to get them used to this for times when I am not able to give them fresh egg 3 or more times a day.
- liquid calcium in the water at 1/2 dose every day while laying eggs, then I reduce to every other day once they finished laying.
I have not figured it out but I think I will continue the every other day when the chicks hatch.
- Some of the gouldians will get seeds along with the pellet as their primary food. During breeding, but the seeds get cut back slowly a week after the chicks fledge, to get the chicks to eat the pellet + dry food mix.

notes:
- Vitamins: I stopped giving vitamins, for fear of overdosing on vitamins. The pellet food has vitamins in it.
- Calcium: I give liquid calcium at 1/2 dosage also for fear of overdosing. I give them egg shells, so they can get the balance of the calcium from the egg shells.

Re: supplements on a daily basis - how much liquid calcium?

Wow, that's a lot of information here. One question of mine was answered; can the liquid calcuim be added to the water. My society has laid eggs again (3rd time since the zebras stole her eggs/nest). I want to get some extra calcuim into the females. They have a cuttlebone but don't use it often.
How much of the liquid calcuim do you add to the water? I am going out today to purchase some.

I would think it would depend on the brand you purchase as to what the strength of it is. I don't imagine they are all identical (though I don't know for sure). I just ollow the directions on the label.
