My yellows always seem to have red eyes as babies. As they reach 1 month + they usually get darker until they look dark brown? My silver was the same.

That is so great they have adopted him into the family so well. He is looking great! As are all of them. Is it a pastel or a silver hen?

Hi Candace! I'm not sure what (or who????) is the bird you asked about...: "Is it a pastel or a silver hen?"

The "Grey one" is the young of my "blue-violet-pastel cock"...I'm not sure but I think he is double yellow factor blue back male? but I'm really new about all these yellow factors..! The mother is yellow back but her mother was my sea green VDM1a...
In this nest, I think the other ones are three normal green back, one pastel green(hen?) and one yellow cock...
Your expertise would be appreciate!!!

Sorry, yes I was referring to the grey one that was adopted. It could be a DF yellow back blue or what we call df silver male... but could be sf silver hen... I know the darker beak indicates a male but I am not sure either. We will see soon enough :) It is adorable and will be interesting to watch color up with such interesting colors in the generations!
