New Flight

Post by LittleWings » Sun Aug 26, 2012 7:30 pm

Just wanted to share a photo of my newest flight cage. This was a snake cage that I converted to house my owls and parrot finch, since they love to fly so much :) I also have my male gouldian in their temporarily while he goes through his molt. Its 6' x 2' x 2'

Nice, that is a great length for them to exercise their wings, congrats!

Dayna, isn't it?? They absorb water, and dry. They will cling to the seed hulls and droppings, and once one gets to dirty it can easily be changed!

Yes their puppy pads! I use them in all my cages, they work great and I think they look nicer than newspaper. :D

Their also called "incontinence pads" same thing, and you can get them in different sizes. The ones shown in this cage are small I need to get some bigger ones.

Well I know what I'm buying next time I go to petsmart  I love how it would hold the seed hulls better than paper. My only worry with it is if my birds were on the floor (which they tend to like doing a lot) would they get their nails caught in it? Have you had any problems with that? I think you would really have to be careful about that...
