Thanks again everyone. The tears come and go, but I am doing better. I'll see how the children are after school today. I miss you Sonny!

Oh no, so sad. :( Tragic and sudden deaths are so difficult because you just keep thinking that it can't be real, it couldn't have happened. Sending hugs to you and your family that with time, you will be able to laugh about the silly things she did. Your kids may not want to get another bird. Sadly when my son's bird died, he wanted nothing more to do with any of the birds.

I am so sorry for your families loss! :( Brings tears to my eyes. I've had to teach my Green Cheek, Beaker the 'stay' command like you would a dog because if he sees me go out a door he always wants to follow. I'm so very sorry and my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

So so sorry Deborah

Just goes to show how tightly knit we are here as a family, when I read the news the tears just started to flow. Thinking of you and your family during these difficult times.

Deborah, I'm so sorry to hear this... I'm sure he knew you all loved him very, very much - sounds like he had a wonderful life with you. It's tragic that it came to an end so quickly but accidents happen. I know it doesn't take away the pain but don't beat yourself up over it *hugs*

So much gratitude and thanks to all of you who took time to respond to my post about Sonny and to grieve with us online. Janine, you're right, we're a tight knit family here and what hurts one of us, then the rest hurt with us. That is what family and friends do for each other. I'm doing better and so are the kids. They made it through school yesterday and today. Each day is a little better, even though we miss her terribly. Thanks again!
