Non-stop peep-peeping

Post by Geordie » Thu Jun 05, 2008 10:41 pm

Riff (Java) has been driving us crazy the past week, non-stop peep-peep and very loud from morning to night. Do you think he might have something wrong with him? Raff is still his usual self but Riff has gone nuts.

Cheers

Could he be missing Polly? Maybe they had a bond, and now he is calling for him.

No Sally, I took Hilary's advice and was keeping them apart in different rooms until Riff & Raff were one year old. Polly never went into their room. This has me puzzled especially with the timing. Could it be that Riff is reaching maturity and feeling a bit frisky?

 My money is on frisky! My female goulds start getting mouthy when they enter breeding mode, and of course all of my males (regardless of species) start singing when they mature.
