Is this really a female zebra?

Post by applescruff » Sat Apr 19, 2008 10:02 pm

Hi there, I'm new here and have a question that has been bugging me since I got my new finches about a month ago. I bought a pair of female zebras from a local breeder, however her bird room did not have the best lighting and she had to catch whatever zebra she could and look for females. The zebra in question named Fern looks like a fawn. She does tend to be louder that the other one and might have a very light cheek patch. I don't really know...if someone could take a look at a picture of Fern and tell me what you think, I'd really appreciate it!

do you only have the 2 females because if so you shouldnt hear any singing from them because only the males sing and that might help you out. its very hard to tell sometimes because i have already gotten 6 diffrent males that were all suppose to be females until one day they start to sing.

Yay! Do we get a prize for saying she's a female ahead of time?
