sick bird

hi i just bought 2 gouldians one male and young bird i dont know the sex,they both have runny poos and they are long as well. :cry: one day they were cherpy but the next day they look sick and they sit in the food bowl ive been givin them antibiotics for it but its not helping any ideas i dont wont to loose them ,they wont touch any greens or egg food im frustrated please help.

Don't feed greens or eggfood and find an avian vet....I hope these birds are quarantined,

Check out our avian illness page to see if it helps to figure out what this may be. Make a list of all of the symptoms and then see which one matches the closest to those symptoms, and then see treatment options for those symptoms.

While your doing all that make sure they have a constant heat source and plenty of fresh water, if the antibiotics don't seem to be working then don't use them until you see the vet, sometimes medicine can make matters worse.

I agree that you should keep them away from veggies, the veggies may have been the cause if they still had chemical trace.
