Black Spot?

Post by Tiffany » Mon Oct 08, 2012 1:25 pm

Hi, I have 2 hatchlings one is 3 days old today and the other hatched yesterday morning. I have been hand feeding them since day one. I noticed this morning the older chick has a black spot on the right side of his/her stomach. I have been reading about Atoxoplasma and Circovirus. The parents only sat on the eggs a few days then abandoned them so I've done most the incubating as well. The chicks are always begging for food and very squirmy. Could these babies got this from the parents sitting on the eggs for those few days? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. His Black spot isn't as dark or as big but I'm assuming that is what is is. He eats really well though and his poop looks good.

Thanks. :) I might be paranoid. I'm just scared something will go wrong and I'm really attached to the little guys.
