Were you able to click on any of the My Articles and read them?
I could not open them. It appears to be a great site, but I was not able to read the articles.

The articles are for sale and copyrighted, so they cannot be reproduced by anyone else. I was so intrigued by what I read on the website that I have emailed asking for pricing and cost of mailing to me. If I get some, of course I cannot post information from them on the forum, but I will certainly let everyone know if I think they could benefit from getting them.
Thanks, mickp, for the links! I have slow dial-up, and it could take me all day to find some of these resources. I really appreciate those who post their findings on this forum--otherwise, I might never find the websites.

Well, I used the contact info at the website, and got my email back as undeliverable. I tried two more variations of addresses and got them back too. The fourth try hasn't come back, so it either went thru, or someone will think they have spam in their mailbox and delete it! If I don't hear anything, I will ask our UK members if any of them know William Astor and how to contact him.

For me, it's a matter of time vs. expense vs. availability of fresh herbs or seeds. I don't have an aviary, but I think it's awesome for those who do who also have fresh herbs available to their finches. However, it is an interesting article and how these small brain finches instinctively knows what to eat to self medicate for survival. Something I wish we all had!hfentj wrote:I was wondering if the Herb Salad was just as good, is this other something that I might need to check into?atarasi wrote:I use the Twin Peaks Herb Salad, as I think many of you do as well. They definitely spend a lot of time picking out what they want.

I have been able to contact the owner of that website. He has updated his contact information, so anyone should be able to reach him now. The articles range in price from $3-15 US. To order all of them would be $63 + $10 shipping. I have ordered a couple of the articles and will post after I have received and read them. The intro to the articles on the website was very intriguing, so I just have to learn more!

hmmmm Paul that has to be the most polite description I have heard of that guy in the past few hours.
most have likened him to a two legged version of bird flu.
from what I have since learnt I now wish I had not posted the link and will not be having anything more to do with that site.
the information I have been given about the site owner has come from people who I believe and trust.
so please dont send any money, all bird owners that I know are willing to share their knowledge, time and experience for free.

Hey, mickp, you don't have to apologize for posting that link. It really looked like a good one. I was very interested to see what he had to say, as the initial impression was that he seemed very knowledgeable. I forgot the one big drawback to the internet--anyone can say anything they want to, and can claim to know lots more than they really do.
BTW, thanks for the link to the UK group--now that really looks interesting!
