I'm so sorry you lost them. It is not easy to raise handfeds all the way to weaning. I have had that happen to me--all looks well, they are eating, and the next time I go to feed, I find a dead baby. No way to know what really went wrong. But it is heartbreaking when it happens, as you do get so attached to them. Yes, a good set of Society fosters are worth their weight in gold.
