Sally, maybe you should take a visit to Atlanta at the time there is a bird show. I could send you a schedule.
And then you could combine it with that visit to see your sister!

i went to petland yesterday to buy two budgies because my son could not wait he really missed the birds in his room.

i got two young birds for him

while i was there i checked out the finches they had on hand

they had two white headed mannikin for $34 each

one gold breasted waxbill for $99.00

two jave rice bird sparrows for i think $59 each

some spice and society

the birds were strong and looked very healthy their colors were strong and all there feather were in place

the sales lady said they would order bird for me if i wanted at no extra charge

so i will keep watching their birds and see what comes in. those mannikin were very tempting

5. I don't know if you would be able to have birds shipped from overseas, but considering all the government regulations and paperwork involved, I doubt that individuals would have much luck doing it. And if you sent money overseas for birds, I think you could kiss that money goodbye!

Hey....No problem...
I've got some bright pink societies with green stripes....Hundred bucks a pair.
Send money now please www.poohbear/desperateforcash.com

Hey, Moe, don't pay $99 for a Goldbreasted waxbill, that is way overpriced. They are selling for about $50 a pair now in a lot of places. One dealer referred to them as the 'new' Zebra, meaning lots of people are breeding them and their price has come way down. I wonder if there are ever bird fairs in NYC?

There will be one on August 2-3, Sept. 20-21 and October 18-19.

The August and October ones are at the Farmer's Market in Forest Park and the Sejptember one is at the Atlanta Trade Center.

We like the one at the trade center best. There just seems to be more vendors there.

My husband LOVES to go to the Bass Pro Shop. He has a bass boat, but hasn't put it in the water in some time because the lakes here in Georgia are so low due to drought.
