white and black canary 7 months old

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

If he is truly a song bred canary (ie. timbrado, roller, american singer, etc.), he may just be a young male still "polishing up" his song. Also, the song in winter is softer and less emphatic than the song during the breeding season. (I actually prefer the winter song of my male canaries)
If he is a "type" canary or a mix, that may be all that you get. A CD or songs from the internet may help, but unless you periodically repeat these, they will probably revert back to the song that was bred into their genes. Bob
3 canaries
2 orange cheeked waxbill finches
2 java finches, 1 split to normal, 1 white
2 bourke parakeets
1 american staffordshire/american pit bull terrier
1 boston/jack russel terrier mix
6 adopted stray cats
2 adult, 1 young leopard gecko
4 fish tanks and 4 fish bowls
3 turtles
2 teenage kids and 1 wife

Nice goldie,
bylyku, your natives don't have to be closed banded in your country?

what wonder wooer means is for example in Uk any native bird to Europe must have a closed ring on its legs so u can prove its not wild caught but im guessing Albania is the same as Turkey and no one has then ringed and i dont think its even a league requirement in turkey
however they are very lovely birds have u ever breed any yourself?

bylyku
are any of your other finches/canary having problems with their molt?
I'd keep your wild caught with the other birds and hang his cage at eye level. The more he sees traffic the better
