I'm desperately trying NOT to buy the sun conure at PetCo. It's name is Skittles (how darn cute is that?). The first time I saw it I literally almost bought it (the nice huge price tag held me back), but it was so animated and followed me all around it's housing. I went back last night as I was in the neighborhood and it was very tired and not so animated , and surprise not as attactive to me. I really went to see if it was on sale! (No).

My neighbor says I'll forget about it on my shoulder some day and my dogs will eat it. (not an unlikely scenario)

Aw, poor guy is probaly tired and lacking one on one bonding. There is a vary very cute green cheek at my local petsmart, he is very light in color, light light green, and grey. Very unique colors. At first he would run of his play thing and greet you, and follow your finger, now he is losing feather, and wont leave his perch

It makes me laughs your comments about not coming home with more birds! My partner always accompanies me to pet stores as he thinks I will come back with another one!

LOL Dante, what are you like????? he he. I seem to remember not so long ago you said you were taking a break from having a lot of birds????? You defintely have the bird bug ha ha!!

So far I have been disciplined but getting desperate for a bird I can interact more fully with (finches are great but defo not tame enough for me). so will probably end up with a budgie or cockatiel soon I think. JUts depends how long I can stop myself buying one :D
