Found some new treat sticks at WalMart. 4 in pkg $1.98. Wild Harvest Crispy Minis Honey Flavor. My Gouldians gravitated to them. The youngsters
especially will try ANYTHING new

I love to put new things in their cages.
Also got 2 in pkg $2.08 Kaytee Honey Stick Treat; they like those too.
Also am growing 19 tiny pots of millet spray & canary grass; waiting for them to get a little bigger before offering them to the birds.
To me, this is what keeps
bird keeping fun

Here's a wicker cup holder & bamboo spiral I put millet sprays in to give the birds a workout & some exercise.

Good on you, I like growing my own 'goodies' for my Goulds as well, usually grasses but perhaps some millet this year.
I tried them with some treat sticks but they didnt seem keen so I took them out again after a couple of weeks as didnt like the idea of old seed being availabel.

Love your idea of growing your own treats.... Can you tell me how you did this? The canary grass seed and millet pots.... would love to try this.

a little pot, a little potting soil, a little seed.
This time I just sprayed water on them as they needed it, as previously if I watered directly into the little pot, it got moldy from too much water.
