Parrots and finches sharing an avairy

I was just visiting with a guy that lived in Australia for 5 years and had a Huge avairy. He kept many different species and I thought his set up was unique...he had an area for his finches to roost and breed behind an enclosure of wire fence panels within the avairy! So the finches could get in and the parrots could not! He said by and large they lived together in harmony! Neat idea, Huh??

Sounds beautiful! And I completely understand gating off the finch boxes. I am sure the finches and parrots get along so well because he has it set up like a natural habitat, and they do co-exist in the wild. I love the idea! Must be vary large though
