My breeding flights

Post by managermania » Thu Feb 07, 2013 9:16 am

Some of you have seen this before, but someone asked me to post a picture. These are some of my mixed breeding flights in my basement/"bird room". There are 2 different type flights on the other side of the room.

Those look great! I so envy those of you who have basements, such a good place to keep your birds out of the living area, yet convenient. I would have a nice rocking chair in the middle of that room!

managermania, that is an awesome setup! I was thinking about doing something like that in my basement, though I doubt I would make it that large. What are you using for the bottom?

I used the linoleum stick tiles over the concrete and then substrate over that. I also use concrete pavers over the tiles in the feeding areas. I find it helps with controlling nail growth.

those avairies look great, just wondering, How do you mix your birds in each avairies and what kind of numbers do you keep per avairies? I am particully interested in how you keep your firetails? Thanks, Gaz.
