My breeding flights
Some of you have seen this before, but someone asked me to post a picture. These are some of my mixed breeding flights in my basement/"bird room". There are 2 different type flights on the other side of the room.


Chase
Normal & Fawn Owls, RT Parrots, Cherries, RF & YF Stars, BC Cordon Bleus, Cuban Melodious, Orange Cheeks, Gouldians, Shaftails, Senegal Fires, Normal & Fawn Diamond Fire Tails, White-headed Nuns , Goldbreasts, Societies, and Diamond Doves.

Those look great! I so envy those of you who have basements, such a good place to keep your birds out of the living area, yet convenient. I would have a nice rocking chair in the middle of that room!

managermania, that is an awesome setup! I was thinking about doing something like that in my basement, though I doubt I would make it that large. What are you using for the bottom?

I used the linoleum stick tiles over the concrete and then substrate over that. I also use concrete pavers over the tiles in the feeding areas. I find it helps with controlling nail growth.

Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

those avairies look great, just wondering, How do you mix your birds in each avairies and what kind of numbers do you keep per avairies? I am particully interested in how you keep your firetails? Thanks, Gaz.
