Re: New Canary
Congratulations and Best of luck with the chicks when they hatch. If she started sitting tight from egg 2, then you will probably see the first baby 13 days from then. That is the time frame for all my canary girls. I also would refrain from anymore pics and just let her be now. You don't want her to abandon the eggs or even the chicks after they hatch. I know the temptation to look and photograph is high but with a first time mother err on the side of caution!

Re: New Canary
With canaries, the final egg laid is usually "bluer" than all the rest. If you have one that fits that description, she's probably done. Tough to tell from the picture, but in person it's often quite obvious. Bob

Re: New Canary
Thanks Linda. She was off the nest eating, as I had just put in a dish of eggfood, then quickly snapped a picture. I cant even see into the nest, because the cage is up high on a table, and Im too short to see. Dont worry I know not to bother them
I also wouldnt know if they were first time parents or not. Since I dont know their exact age.
I calculated around the 10th to be the hatch date. We will see.

Re: New Canary
Thanks Bob. No way for me to tell, I cant see into the nest since the cage is very tall and also on a table. Will see what happens from here on.
