Anyone has any ideas of how much weight a very big gouldian finch should have ?
Or let me know the heaviest gouldian finch that you have ever had

you can use mini scales, or scales for birds. These could be accurate up to 2 decimals

Gouldians should weigh around 16-17 grams, robust ones around 19 grams.
You could put your bird in a small light box and weigh it then weigh the box and subtract the two numbers to get the birds weight. Of course you would need a scale that measures that low, easily found on amazon, something like this:

I have a very big one who weights nearly 24gram. He is a little bit overweight, or obeysity, i guess

If you blow on the belly you should be able to see if there are yellow fat deposits. Being over fat is not a good thing, maybe time for a diet? Or he is just a very big boy!

yes, he has belly fat, even fat under his chest. He is also a big boy, but i think he is overweight. I have no idea how to make him more fit. I tried with diet, but it did not work. Maybe time for a fly cage

I would try and put him in a bigger cage for more flight time. A tall cage would also be good, uses a whole different set of muscles for lift. Cut down on the "extra's" that are high in fat. Maybe only hard boiled eggs a couple times a week and good seed mix.
