Ya just cant hold a zebbie down!

I have been away for the past week, so my husband has been looking after my fids, which basically means they have seed, water, millet and other easy treats but no egg or chopped up veggies!

Any way I get back and one of my zeb girls has built a nest out of paper on the floor of the cage, and has 4 little eggs in it! they cannot be fertile because girls and boys are in separate cages, the girls are about 5 months old and I wanted to hold off breeding until they are older but I have one that seems really determined.

PS I didn't know they would build a floor nest! I haven't given them nests or nesting material but I do line the cage with paper to make cleaning easier.

That is so sweet! One of my boys also pulls threads off the floor paper when he runs out of nesting material. They are so cute the little zebbies and their imperative urge for breeding!
