I prefer a Margarita while watching my birds...or a glass of wine . You know its bad when...you put a deposit on a male canary (I think he's varegated/bronze) and a caramel spice finch (hoping the 6th will FINALLY be a female), your spouse says "No more birds," and you sincerely reply "OK" knowing full well that both of those birds WILL be residing in your home ...and already have names...BAD WIFEY Oh well...

Your at a restaurant and you are eyeballing the little cup your salad dressing on the side came in, and you are thinking "Man, that would be a perfect bird treat dish" and you look up to see you have missed a question your daughter was asking

you wake up at 2 am and wonder if the little finch in quarantine in the back bedroom got food and water changed after dinner when all the rest get done, instead of wondering how your eleven year old daughter, who was obviously getting sick with a cold at bedtime, is doing.

(finch is fine. Daughter is too sick to go to school and is fast asleep in bed.)

You know its bad when you make plans on Memorial Day to go run around town for 'stuff' for your new bird cage, and then realize "OOPS" maybe I should check with the family and see if maybe they want to like, 'do something' naughty Nana

It's pretty bad that when the birds are finished with their veggies, eggfood, soaked seed and such, their dishes are promptly washed and put into disinfectant; meanwhile, I have to wash a knife to make myself a peanut butter sandwich.

When you see a big cage on sale, but you know you don't have the floor space for another standing cage, but then you immediately see the cage as a collection of parts and you start to recalculate how you could assemble them into a lower, long cage that would fit on top of your existing cages, therefore not requiring any more space taken from your house but giving you much more finch room.

Jennie...the male canary is Hansel as my hen is Gretel. The society is Toffee...she is the color of caramel. Very pretty. Cant wait to get them, but my quarantine cages are full... so I must. I hope to get them on 6/4.
