It's that time of year...

Post by birdclaws » Sat Jun 01, 2013 10:42 am

Thought I would share some of the first clutches of the season. Also, it's the first time any of these birds have bred, so I am pretty happy!

Pair 1: Shelby & Salazar

Mom is RH/PB./YB.bb and Dad is BH/LB.wb/SF"silver"
Image
The first one just fledged about an hour ago.
When I banded them, I saw 2 yellows, a green, a pastel and a silver.

Pair 2: Tamilda & Clyde

Mom is BH/LB.wb/BB and Dad is RH/WB/NB.bb
Image
When I banded these guys, it looks like 4 blues and 1 green.

Pair 3: Karen & Simon

Mom is OH/PB.wb/YB Dad is RH/LB.wb/DFY.bb
Image
All yellow, of course. 5 Babies as well.

Very pretty birds!
I know I'm being a pain but it's easier to follow your genetics if you use the / for "split to" for example: RH/PB./YB.bb would be RH.PB.Yb/Bb and RH/LB.wb/DFY.bb would be RH.LB/WB.DFYb/Bb :D

I wouldn't worry about it... it read perfectly clear to me.

Your birds are lovely, Brian, as always! :)

Not at all, splits should be mentioned if you know them ;)
They should give you quite a variety of chicks with all those splits going on.
Best of luck :)
