Surprised my Hubby!

Post by wilkifam » Sat Jun 01, 2013 7:36 pm

He has been wanting an African Gray for years. Found a 6 month old gray and brought her home to him yesterday. Really Surprised him! Asked him to unload the groceries from the back of the car where she was riding in her cage. They are spending the day today getting acquainted with each other.

She came named Nzinga the "N" is silent. NZinga was an African Queen in the 17th Century. Seems to fit. She can already say Good Girl and Step up... When you ask her if she can whistle, she whistles.

I love Grays...had one a long while ago....very smart and can pick up words and sounds so easily....mine use to ask the dogs if they wanted a cookie in my voice. Took me a while to figure out why both dogs would come to me and sit so nicely without me calling them. He use to also ask if the wanted to go out to!!!
