Can I feed these to finches?
I am just wondering if I can feed lafebers avicakes and nutriberries that are "for parakeets, cockatiels, lovebirds and conures" to my finches? ? I had some leftover from a failed attempt with a parakeet and now I don't want it to go to waste. My finches eat a spread of lafebers finch food, roudybush nibbles and occasional finch seed of course with some vegetables if that helps with an answer. The ingredient seem fine I just don't know if im missing something. I would think finches would be included in the list of birds it is "made for" if they could/would/should eat them. TIA!!

Re: Can I feed these to finches?
My tiel passed away the day I gave her nutriberries. I actually got them that day (she didn't pass from them, she got violently ill in a span of two days and I wanted to ey her treats cause she was eating etc). I don't think they have things you can't give finches I would think... I am thinking of putting them in my pestle and grinding it and putting in the finer ground powered (not the big oat and husky parts) into their boiled egg crushed up.
Waiting to see if you will get a reply about this so I can go ahead and grind awayyyy

Re: Can I feed these to finches?
I read a book that actually recommended feeding that exact product to finches that are on an 'all seed' (vs pellet) diet. I've given it to my finches. They loved it xD As long as it isnt their main diet it should be fine.

I have used and are using all the products you mentioned....I crumble them, they should crush in between your fingers. I did this and sprinkled it over the pellets and seed mix or you can crumble it and add it to bird bread. The Nutra-berries are basically the same food as the pellets Lafebers make....all good!!

Re: Can I feed these to finches?
Well i ground it up this morning and sprinkled it on the eggies
They liked it, they were not hesitant about it... so it might of been a good idea. my tiel had only eaten 2 so i had that little bucket full! glad I found a use for them
Not sure if you can feed it just ground up as a powder form? are finches allowed (... allowed??? haha) to eat powdered food?
