These look like a hybrid between firey shouldered conures and sun conures, possibly a red factor.
Their beaks look much larger and different shape than either a fire shoulder or sun conure. Also, their white eye patches are much larger than any conure.

Hope this helps!

Hahn's macaws are more than 95 % green birds. A hybrid between Sun Conure and Hahn's macaw can't have so much vibrant orange/red color.
I love Gouldian Finches.

Well , according to the breeder explanation they are 3rd generation birds. It takes several generations to get to that vibrant red color. I have sent him an email and waiting for his response. Thanks Charlie ( wellingtoncdm) for your input.

Sam007 , these birds are also larger then sun conures.

All hybrids are mules and they can not reproduce. How they got 2nd and 3rd generations?

Ok here is an update on Crimson Connans . Just had a nice phone conversation with breeder of these birds. They are in fact third generation birds ( red one's ) anyway. It is not known if the third generation can or can not reproduce. These birds are slightly larger like sun conures, they can be noisy , They are expensive. There are not known breeders of these hybrids. Only one. So no unrelated birds are available. These birds are a product of 10years + breeding program. Breeder has a few birds to sell at $ 1000.00 per bird. 2nd generation birds are available for sale at very reasonable price. How ever these birds do not have as much red coloring . Will upload some pics later on tonight. Stay tuned.

Are you sure you want a hybrid or one that has been cross bred? I wonder about the health, especially at such a high price. :-?

My opinion...it is still a hybrid. A pricey hybrid. It is like taking two well known breed of dogs and crossing them slapping a fancy title on them and charging sometimes more than a pure bred would cost...it is still a hybrid. They can say that they are breeding for the best qualities from both breeds but you are not always guaranteed that you will get them, sometimes you get more of the cons than pros by doing so.

To me since this is very new, and very pricey I would pass. JMO

I agree with Cindy. I asked our local parrot breeder of many species, who has been in the business since 1979. He said he did not think it was even possible to cross a macaw with a conure, but that any hybrid of parrot species is "frowned upon" in the parrot breeder circles as these species are endangered and we should not mix or dilute the species. Also, he said hybrids are sterile and inherit the worst of the personality traits of the two species which are crossed, rather than the positive personality traits most are wanting when buying such parrots. I'd pass and go for a pure macaw or a pure conure. They both can be great pets if from a reputable breeder and trained well with consistent attenition and training/routine in the home.

If I had to pick between the two, I'd go with the red factor sun conure which looks almost identical to these birds, cost less and can reproduce. JMO. Bob

nicolino, if you are looking for Hahns, know of a good breeder that has excellent birds.
