EyesofFreedom@Tman This is no joke... Today on my way to NY I gassed up and grabbed some snacks for the 1 1/2 hour drive. There was a basket of "Woodstock Vermont" homemade snacks on the counter... I am laughing as I type this..... and there was this crazy looking 'brick' of whatever it was called "Weeds and Seeds" Like a granola bar... SOOOOOO.... What does Jennie do? SHE BUYS TWO

LOLing. I ate the first one in the car... it was all over my lap in no time (not very tasty, but good in a weird way) Well, let me tell you what, I was sooo fricken stuffed by the time I got to my friends house I wasn't even hungry for lunch... OMG The second one I gave to her birds... LOL ugh

Nope, no scented candles, or air fresheners but if it is in a completely different part of the house I suppose they can't reach the finches

chirpy I agree, not worth the risk for pretty smells... Maybe a bowl of lemons and orange slices... or boil some cinnamon sticks. I am sure there are great ways to freshen the air.

lol I just had to get onto my girlfriend for painting her nails in the living room... I told her to go to the bedroom and I would do it for her...

DanteD716@Nanajennie Boo... thanky ou for the link I am goign to check it out right now.. my neighbor has a dog and I was watching her while they were away their house smells devine.. and i walk into my house and its like no nice smells just .. blah!
when I have guests I do put a candle in the bathroom though (a little one) and close the door I hope that is okay thats way in another part of the house. so oil burners are out of the question too right!?

Hey Guys, I found this bird safe air freshener on line when I was searching for home remedies to freshen the bird room. I bought 2, orange and grapefruit, and used them in my bird room with no problems. Its 100% natural and non-aerosol. They have about 10 scents, but I love the citrus ones. I always had my windows cracked and air purifier on in the bird room when using it...just in case

If she's afraid of the clippers, just file them down instead. And you can give her a smooth something that looks like a file to "do" them herself whenever she wants.

When Ally was little, we also "did our nails" with washable markers. That way you can do them over and over, no toxicity, no danger of spilling. Color does tend to cling under your cuticles & edges, but you can cure that by having her help you wash something in a tub of soapy bubbles, doesn't matter what, I'd give Ally clean plastic cups and a bottle brush and let her go to town on them, as long as there are lots of bubbles, they love it.

Occasionally, we'd also give ourselves (okay, she'd do it) ankle bracelets and lower leg tattoos with the washable markers. That's when I found out some of those washable markers, mostly red and purple, don't wash completely out of your skin, so if you go this route, do a test first before you have big red and purple flowers all over your shins!

Nerien no shes actually not scared of them.. but she thinks it tickles and the only remedy is doing her nails. I dont have them near her nail beds so it should be OK i think just little dabs and she thinks shes "preee-tey" shes the most ticklish child I know before she would kick myhand away quirming but now she will sit through it better. Kids nails grow SO quick.. her hands I am cutting every 4 days they look like claws when I don't notice! ive had her come to me with a big long red mark on her face which seh scratched herself.. i just cut it 3 days ago! remarkable really.. it must be the most obvious growth
