Re: Do You Feed Pellets?
Like many of you, I feed a mix. I keep seed in the main feeders and offer pellets in treat dishes/locations. They eat predominantly seed, but I see them all visit the pellets from time to time. I use Zupreem, which they consider ok, and Roudybush, that they love. Off course they get fresh foods as well, and other treats like the dried Herb Salad mix, hulled oats, and such, in rotation. About once a week I also offer Miracle Meal, which they also eat readily, as a treat option.

Re: Do You Feed Pellets?
My non-breeding birds are 95% on pellet food.
The last 5% are the 2x weekly egg+veggies that they get in addition to the pellets.
Gouldians get LaFebers Finch Food.
I buy them in 5 pound tubs, but am looking to do the next purchase in 25 pound box.
Societies and zebra get Roudybush Maintnance, Nibbles size.
I get this in the 25 pound bag.
I used to give them Zupreem Natural in XS, until Zupreem changed and they stopped making the XS size. Then I switched to Roudybush Nibbles.
I do intermix food from time to time, as I do not want them stuck on any one food. I learned that when I could not find any more Zupreem Natural in XS size.
For breeding birds I switch them to Roudybush High Energy Breeders food. They get eggs+veggies every day and a high protein seed mix (mostly canary seeds). The breeding birds then choose what they want to eat.

Re: Do You Feed Pellets?
Gary, you are using the same as I am, noticed a great improvement when using the Roudybush High Energy Breeder. Nice size babies, birds seem great. All my birds love it and go to it first before seed, I am slowly decreasing the seed ratio to pellets. I like the added calcium, D3 and protein. My young wean off on it easily along with dried eggfood.
I still like to use occasionally the Labebers, can I ask where you get the 5 lb/25 lb box tubs...do you order it in?
