Well, Liz, I tried that in the forecast and it came up as "invalid body" in the male section. Any other ideas or does anyone know what the outcomes could or would be for my pair? I was told by the breeder (he's only been doing this for about 2 yrs) that I may get silvers, but I don't know if it's true and what else I might get, plus the percentages.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Judy

12.5% Male >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - SF Yellow Blue (Body)
12.5% Male >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - SF Yellow / Blue (Body)
12.5% Male >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - Blue (Body)
12.5% Male >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - Green / Blue (Body)
12.5% Female >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - Yellow Blue (Body)
12.5% Female >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - Yellow / Blue (Body)
12.5% Female >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - Blue (Body)
12.5% Female >> Red (Head) - Purple (Chest) - Green / Blue (Body)

Here you go...

To reproduce:

Start at Male side, Set the following:
Head
Red = yes
Black=no
orange=no

Chest
purple=yes
white=no
Lilac=no

Body
Green=no
Yellow=SF (means Single Factor)
Blue=Split

Then set your Female side:

Head=Red
Chest=Purple
Body=Blue

Enjoy :)

BTW, the reason you have a chance (one in eight) for a silver out of this pair is that Silver is the combination of Blue back and Yellow back genes. The baby would need to have normally had a yellow back (hen) but also enherit the blue body gene from both parents.

Because your cock is split for blue and split for yellow body, each one of those traits has a 50/50 chance of being passed on to the young.

Hope that Helps you out.

One of the easier ways to get used to genetics is to play, play, play with the forecaster. It's fun and we learn from it.
