So Slow Lately?

It's doing it again today:

"Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

And yes, it has randomly been logging me off despite being told not to. Not that that's a major problem, just annoying, and a FYI as they work on fixing their problems.

I write and I click on it and click on it lol and sometimes it tells me I already posted via "someone else posted are you sure you want to"

The problem apparently is with the server. It seems to be better now, we'll see if it stays fixed.

Dreamhost replied that the server issue had been addressed & suggested the site may be slow due to excessive bot (spider/crawler for search engine) traffic. I have made all the changes I can to slow the bots down. If the slowness continues despite these efforts, let me know and I will contact the host a 3rd time to see what else they figure it could be. :0) Eventually I hope to get this fully sorted out! Timing out is very frustrating!! Thanks everyone for your patience & alerts!

Seems to be intermittent for me. At some points of the day it's fine - other times it's really slow. Overall, it's been better than a few days ago. Bob

On my end here to...the forum still has issues this morning... having trouble getting on and when I posted a response it looked like it stopped working, then tried again and it gave a 503 temp out of service. logged off and went back in and my response posted!!! I am now having trouble pulling it up, timing is slow, then fast...then sometimes it goes back to the Google scene when I try to log on. I wrote Crystal!!!

1:45 pm Service not available--took a lot of tries and a lot of no service messages to get on. Users listed are just me, two others, and Bing and Google Bots. So, they have not fixed their server issues, no matter what they say. So frustrating. I need my forum!!!

3:15 eastern time 8 users online with google and bing bot running smooth and fast

I emailed support a few more times. They have trouble reproducing the lag because it is intermittent. They are back to blaming the server and will shortly move this site to a new server, so we'll see if that fixes things! Thanks everyone for your patience.

I have experienced the slowness for the last few weeks and it has been every time I try to get onto the site. Recently, I get a message that says, "Cannot open webpage, because down for maintainence." I guess we'll see.
