I have heard about that. Not sure if I want to do it.. I feel like it would overstress the parents

My first cockatiel was parent raised but once weaned the chicks were all moved to a cage in the breeders house where they got socialized and handled. When I bought my hen she took only a week to learn to be petted and come out to my finger, she turned out to be a wonderful pet and very loving and affectionate. You might think about letting the parents raise their babies.

Hm, maybe Michelle. I'm not sure ~X( I keep going back and forth... One of my friends (local breeder) offered to buy some out of the nest.. Im not sure.. Would be good to get more birds at the mart.. But Id like to keep my first tiel clutch. I want to handfeed, at the same time I want the parents to raise.. :?

I even have some people saying if I dont handfeed I'll never sell them

You know what!? This is my first clutch of tiels, and I'm going to let them parent raise. I can handle them after weaning!

Back in the day my dad used to raise cockatiels and after the the babies were weaned he would bring them in and we would handle them, within a couple of days and with some babies a couple of hours they were just fine with us handling them. In fact one of the best cockatiels we had, my dad tamed down after it he was weaned by the parents he was such a fun bird. I don't think you would have a problem taming them down after they are raised and weaned from the parents.
