I'm asking for a friend she would like to know if there is only one zebra and one star finch in a cage could they breed if they were the only two birds in the cage.

If it's a male and female they may certainly try...now if it results in anything i'm not sure.
I don't have any finches right now but I used to, I'll try to provide my knowledge around the forum

have never heard of a zebra & star breeding. doesnt mean it couldnt happen though

At the FIC, linked at left, it says that Stars can breed with Owls, Zebras, and Crimsons, so they should not be placed together in a breeding situation. They won't interbreed if they have mates of their own species, but when desperate... :wink:
